Albania to finally bag a point at Euros?

Romania v Albania Euro 2016

Romania v Albania Betting Preview – Euro 2016, 19th June

Interesting state of play for the conclusion of Group A. Basically both need to go out and push for the win in this one. Romania are third in the group but with only one point so they are likely going to need more than that to even finish as one of the best third placed teams. Albania are bottom of the pile and need to take the win to try and have any hope of squeezing through to the next round. All that should make this a pretty open and interesting game with both going at it.

Romania v Albania Betting Tips

Well here are two hard working side, full of spirit but with little end product from either. Romania need to come out and find a finishing edge because a win would put them in a stronger position to move through to the knockouts tags. A win could even see them take second place from Switzerland if the Swiss fall against France in their final game. So an interesting game and after losing against France in their opener, Romania got their first point on the board with a 1-1 draw against Switzerland. For the second time in their two games, Bogdan Stancu netted the only Romanian goal of the match from the penalty spot. So this is a big chance for them in what should be their easiest game of the group to bag themselves three points.

Romania were very good against France in their opener, but fell to a French winning goal in the final minute of the game. They didn’t quite have the same intensity against the Swiss, but worked hard, because that is the kind of side that they are. There isn’t a lot of end product from the Romanians and that has shown in them winning just three of their last thirteen matches. The work ethic is there, but there isn’t much in the final third. The Romanians have taken a W3 D2 record from their last five games against Albania, so do have the head to head advantage here. The last time they met was in 2014 and Romania took a 1-0 win in that game. Under 2.5 goals is trading at 8/13 because this is not likely to be a game with many goals netted. Romania is 5/2 to win to nil, while Stancu is 2/1 to net for the third time in the tournament.

Albania are much like Romania really. They put in a lot of spirited hard work, but haven’t got much of an end product, or at least one that hasn’t been seen yet. They really should have taken a point against the Swiss in their opener and again could easily have taken a point against France as well, unlit the French broke through in the 90th minute. So they have come close to points, but haven’t looked too likely to actually win a game. If they take the three points in his one they would have to sweat to see if it would be enough for a qualifying third placed team. Albania have lost six of their last ten games played now and their only wins have come against low-quality opponents. While they could battle for a draw, the probability of them taking a win isn’t high.

Romania v Albania Predictions

Not likely to be a lot of goals in this, but there could be plenty of chances though. Both have to come and play for the win and that should make it entertaining. Neither are in great winning form and both have suffered frustrating losses of points in the tournament so far. Albania may be big value to take a draw out of this one in a low scoring game and frustrate the Romanians who have little punch up top.
