Scotland v Estonia betting could bring a bit of cheer to the Scots who have been going through a bit of a tough time lately. This match is being held at Pittodrie, home of Aberdeen, where new manager Gordon Strachan will be hoping to get his reign off to a cracking start. Scotland have won just two of their last six international matches, and they squandered some big home advantage early in their 2014 World Cup qualifying campaign, picking up draws against Macedonia and Serbia, disappointing results in front of their home fans. It has left the Scots without a win in four matches now and the chance of them reaching the 2014 World Cup is pretty slim. So the immediate future is about installing some new confidence and getting Scotland picking up some forward momentum.

They did win on their last outing, a 2-1 win over Luxembourg. That came off the back of two straight defeats, losing against Belgium and Wales in Group A of World Cup qualifying. There should be a good chance for Scotland against Estonia, a side they have beaten twice in their three previous encounters. Their most recent meeting was in May of 2004, a game which the Scots won 1-0. Both wins by the Scots (the other game was a 0-0 draw) have been by a one goal margin if that’s a trend you want to look at. Estonia aren’t that much of a powerful side going forward, having scored less than two goals in eleven of their last twelve matches. Estonia have won two and lost four of their last six international matches. The Estonians are struggling in their World Cup qualifying group, having taking one win and three losses in four matches, and having scored just one goal in those four matches.

This should be a match which Scotland grab by the scruff of the neck. Probably worth getting behind the home side in this one.
