The last meeting was way back in 2001, the match prior to that back in 1995, so no recent history. Both were thoroughly convincing wins for the Scots, but Tonga have improved vastly since there. Tonga lost 28-23 against Italy at the start of November, before beating the United States ahead of their trip to Scotland.
