The top sixteen snooker players in the world will be descending on the Venue Cymru in Llandudno for the March 6th start of the Snooker Players Championship 2017. With limited history to look back at, including format chances, it’s hard to get a read on this one overall in terms of picking the outright winner. You would therefore have to look at the head of the market just to start digging into something. As well all know, O’Sullivan is capable of pulling out a great tournament, but his recent misfire in Germany will cast some doubts for punters and he hasn’t been to the final since his Master’s success. So he is probably worth skipping over for this one.
Selby is definitely the man of the season overall and looks the better value of the two really. But then at such a lean price and in such an open field in an unpredictable tournament, there’s nothing wrong will looking at bigger priced options in this one and that should lead you to Judd Trump who frankly should have won more tournaments this season than he has. He has done nothing in terms of getting close to a title this season but may not make a bad shot in the each way market or just to Reach the Final. Ding Junhui is always a dangerous floater running at a price of 11/1.
