Rocket heads up Crucible market

Snooker Betting

The Snooker World Championship 2015 will be taking centre stage from the Crucible in Sheffield once again, and it is the final ranking event in the 2014/15 season.

The first round action starts on April 18th and it Ronnie O’Sullivan who is running as 2/1 favorite to walk away with the title. O’Sullivan has won the title five times before in his career and has fired off three 147’s at the tournament as well, his most recent coming in 2008.

O’Sullivan has won two of the last three editions of the World Championship and made it back to the final last year in search of three wins on the bounce, but was stopped by Mark Selby 14-18. Selby is running out at 8/1 and he goes as top seed and therefore in the opposite half of the draw to O’Sullivan. It’s actually not too bad of a draw for Selby, who should be a confirmed quarter finalist you would imagine, and then a semi final would likely be against fourth of fifth seed Neil Robertson or Barry Hawkins respectively.

With O’Sullivan unlikely to be troubled too much in his fourth quarter, it is the third quarter of the draw which makes the most interesting in Snooker World Championship 2015 betting, because it houses both third seed Ding Junhui and sixth seed Judd Trump. The winner of that quarter would then have to face up to O’Sullivan most likely in the final four. So not an easy path to the final there for Trump, who has held ground at 6/1 in the outright winner market, with Ding Junhui way out at 16/1 with online bookmaker Boylesports.

World Snooker championship 2015 betting odds

Ronnie O’Sullivan 2/1, Neil Robertson 6/1, Judd Trump 6/1, Mark Selby 8/1, Shaun Murphy 11/1, Ding Junhui 16/1, 25/1 bar

Because of the setup of the draw, you can take a nice early look at the Name The Finalists market for your Snooker World champions 2015 betting. If O’Sullivan continues his brilliant form at the Crucible, then you would pair him up with either Neil Robertson at 7/1 or an O’Sullivan/Selby final at 9/1 with Boylesports. Fourth seed Neil Robertson should have full command of the second quarter of the draw and could clash with Selby in the semi finals.
