South Africa Open Golf Betting Info
Attention on the European PGA this week is split between the Hong Kong Open and the South Africa Open. Both are precursors to the season-ending Dubai World Championship next week, where the top 60 finishers on the Race to Dubai will compete for the final prize of the season. There are some big South African names to look out for this week at their National Open.

South Africa Open Golf Betting Defending Champion
We had a home grown winner here last season, with Hennie Otto nervously getting across the line to win his second career title. He is back this week for another crack at the event, which will be the 17th time he has attended. Obviously not a name which is going to be looked at much and after a pretty decent start to the new season hasn’t really produced anything after a string of three top ten finishes in March and early April. Hennie Otto is trading at 50/1 with online bookmaker Bet365.

South Africa Open Golf Betting Favourite
Germany’s Martin Kaymer is the favourite for this weeks field, just about. After his clutch performance in the singles at the Ryder Cup for Europe, the former World Number One has responded with some good form. He hasn’t been at his best really this term, but he has lined up a strong end of season flourish. He shot a T11 at the BMW Masters and then a ninth at the WGC HSBC Champions with his last eight competitive rounds all coming in under 70. Looking more relaxed in tune with his game and so should go well here at a price of 7/1 with online bookmaker Bet365.

Other Contenders
It will be worth looking at South African’s for the field and Charl Schwartzel fits the bill nicely. The 2011 Masters Champion has not quite been at his best this season, not helped out by injury problems. But he will be a strong force at the Serengeti Golf and Wildlife Estate after missing out last season because of the Golf World Cup. He has winning history on the African continent, with an Africa Open win and two Joburg Opens under his belt as well. Has only put in one prior appearance at his country’s Open, so will  be a welcome addition this year. Has the distance and control to impact and would expect him to be well inside the top ten.

Branden Grace has had a meteoric rise this season, where started outside the world’s top 300 and now is nestled inside the top 40. The young South African has game and will enjoy being on home soil for this one and would be a fitting way to end the regular season for him, as he he is gunning for his fifth European title of the year. He still believes that he has more to offer that what this dream season has produced and there is no reason why he can’t deliver in this atmosphere. He took the Joburg Open at the start of the year to kick start his fantastic season.

Another South Africa, George Coetzee has been carrying some tremendous form over the last month or so, which should put him in good stead here. He rattled off three consecutive top ten finishes during October and landed a T14 at the Singapore Open last week. His all round game is looking solid here and while he has just one top twenty finish at the South Africa Open, he’s worth looking at for a top ten finish.
