Borussia Dortmund boss Thomas Tuchel has been collecting big support over the last few days at bookmaker Sky Bet to become the next Arsenal manager. With Arsene Wenger’s contract up in the summer at the club after 21 years and with the Gunners on the brink of crashing out of the Champions League at the round of sixteen for the seventh season running following a 5-1 first leg loss against Bayern Munich, changes could be coming at the Emirates.

Whether or not Wenger will stay on at Arsenal for a big longer remains to be seen but he is a 1/2 shot to NOT be in charge on the 1st Day of the 2017/18 season. There is unrest among Arsenal supporters are feeling that now now is the time for change and their loss at Bayern Munich has sparked betting on who would be the man to replace him. It would be a big change for the club who have, good bad or indifferent, taken on a firm identity under Wenger with their slick passing style.

So would Arsenal look for someone to take that project on a step further, or would they look for someone to toughen them up a bit as they are known as chokers when it comes to landing the Premier League title. Tuchel’s arrival would offer a tremendous balance between the two, adding the strength and character alongside the good attacking football style that Gunners fans have been accustomed too, and the Dortmund man could easily be an ideal replacement.

But with rumours that Diego Simeone is set to leave Atletico Madrid in the summer, would the Argentine head to the Emirates? He would shake things up in style of course but he looks to be a big overpriced shot in the market and he is considered one of Europe’s top managers because of his superb record with Atletico and that would be just the proven form that the Gunners could tap into. You would have to ask yourself the question, would Arsenal have collapsed as easily against Bayern Munich if Someone had been in charge? Probably not.

Bournemouth’s Eddie Howe has been touted around as a 6/1 option but he has directed a little bit and it’s unlikely that a top four club would gamble on the talented younger manager with no track record at the top. It is Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri who is 4/1 outright favourite in the Sky Bet Next Arsenal Manager betting market. After taking over the Old Lady from Antonio Conte, Allegri’s Juventus has claimed back to back league titles, a Champions League final appearance and two Italian Supercoppa title as well.

Other names who have been mentioned are Germany boss Joachim Low who is a 16/1 option with former Arsenal midfield legend Patrick Vieira at 9/1 and current Barcelona boss Luis Enrique has also been mentioned after his side were stunned in a first leg Champions League Last 16 first leg loss at PSG. But for us, Tuchel looks to be a great fit for the Gunners and is the value before he shortens. He is probably going to be easy to pry away than Simeone will ultimately be from Atletico.
