Tottenham v Lazio Betting Preview
Both teams will know the importance of a win here, as victory for either would propel them into the next round. A win for Lazio would also mean that they would finish top of the group. After a 0-0 stalemate at White Hart Lane on Match Day One, with the Londoners probably just having the better of the game, and the same result would suit both sides this time around too. Tottenham’s season has come off the rails a bit and with Lazio strong in Serie A, Andre Villas-Boas’s men could be in for a tough European night.

Tottenham v Lazio Recommended Bet:
Plenty of good stats to look at here which could swing the decision here. Spurs go into this game two points behind Lazio and there is the danger of them being pushed down into third if they lose and Maribor beat Panathinaikos. Tottenham have faced Italian opposition eight times before and hold a W3 D3 L2 record overall, but in Italy, they have managed to win just once. Tottenham’s record in Italy stands at W1 D1 L2. There could be a reason to back Spurs to get a draw out of this one, because they have drawn their other two away matches in the group 1-1 so far, so perhaps they could keep that going. A win for Tottenham could be a stretch though because they have won just one of their last five away matches in Europe (against Shamrock Rovers). Tottenham have lost the last three on the bounce in the Premier League as well, so confidence is not high at the club right now. They were hammered by Arsenal on the weekend, and have been a bit disappointing in the Europa League so far, with just one win under their belt. They, like Lazio are undefeated in the group, but just because Spurs look vulnerable at the back at the moment, they could snap.

Lazio are in pretty good form, holding Serie A leaders Juventus to a draw in Turin on the weekend. They are in great shape on home soil in Europe as well as they have won five of their last six European home games, including all three which they have played this season. In their six European matches this season, they have conceded just two goals and are a very savvy side in UEFA competition. However, there is a strange run of form from Lazio against English sides. The Italians have not won any of their last eight matches against English sides (three draws and five defeats). Their last win against an English side was against Chelsea back in the 1999/2000 Champions League. Lazio have also failed to score in any of their last three against English opposition and their last 13 games against English sides stands at W3 D4 L4 (W1 D2 L2 at home). They look the stronger of the two at moment and home advantage could be the deciding factor here. A Lazio -0.25 Asian Handicap for a price of 21/20 at online bookmaker Bet365 looks a good shot.
