WTA China Open Tennis Betting Info
A big Premier tier tournament this week to get your teeth into for your tennis betting. After some minor tournaments out on the Asian swing of the season, there is a strong field in attendance this week for the China Open. This is the highlight tournament of the Asian swing, staged at Beijing Olympic Park. The race to make the end of season championships is still on, so players need some big performances this week.

WTA China Open Tennis Betting Defending Champion
Poland’s Agnieszka Radwanska took the title here last season. She was in great form during the Asian swing of last season and she went to the final of Tokyo last week, so there are signs that she is back on top of her game. Not too bad of a draw ahead of her, until the quarter finals, but then things do get tough. She could face up against either Nadia Petrova (who beat her in the final of Tokyo) or Li Na in the quarters. Then will likely come a semi against Maria Sharapova or maybe Angelique Kerber. So not as easy a draw as what she had last week in Japan, but she is playing with a little more confidence than we have seen for a while since she lost the Wimbledon final. Very consistent when she gets going and should be good for a quarter final spot. Tough defence of her title ahead though but she is good value at a price of 6/1 with online bookmaker Bet365.

WTA China Open Tennis Betting Favourite
Victoria Azarenka at a price of 11/8 with online bookmaker Bet365 is trading as favourite for the China Open. Vika should cruise through he quarter of the draw but she suffered some illness and fatigue during Tokyo last week where she had to retire from the quarter final stage. She wasn’t sure what was wrong with her but it sounded like exhaustion. Facing up to very tough run in the Premier Tier event could be a tough one for her this week because she needs endurance. So just a question over her fitness, not her form, but still trading as favourite to take the title. She has been gifted an easy half of the draw and shouldn’t face too many challenges if she is fit.

Other Contenders
Maria Sharapova should be watched, but she has a bit of a stringer of a draw. Not only having to face up against Sorana Cirstea in the second round, there is also Angelique Kerber and Caroline Wozniacki floating around her quarter of the draw. So there are big challenges to come for the Russian. She isn’t in bad form but just looked a little off her game last week in Tokyo where she lost to Sam Stosur in the quarter finals. Has the grit to get through and makes the best contender from the second half of the draw, but that is the half that is loaded with challenges.

Angelique Kerber would probably be the one to capitalise on any slip by Sharapova. They are in the same quarter and the German continued her immense season with a semi final spot last week in Tokyo. She fell apart, totally uncharacteristically against Agnieszka Radwanska in the semi’s though, not putting up much of a challenge. She is far better than that though and expect to see her back on her game this week.

Hit and miss most of the time, but Australia’s Sam Stosur may be worth a look because she is just showing some good end of season form. After a quarter final effort at the US Open, she went to the semi finals of Tokyo last week. A good scrappy player who is never consistent enough to back with a lot of confidence. However, with Petra Kvitova crashing out early, Stosur could have the run of the second quarter of the draw which would possibly set her up with a semi final against Azarenka. With Azarenka’s fitness in question, Stosur could pounce.

Best Outside Bet
French woman Marion Bartoli is in the same boat as Stosur really as they go in the same quarter. It has been a difficult season for Bartoli, but she showed some her best of the season at the US Open. Hasn’t performed well in Asia so far, but she can pull things together and her tenacity will often pull her through. An outside shot because of the draw, but with high potential when she gets things right. At a price of 22/1 with Bet365, not a bad outside shot.
