WTA Malaysia Open Betting Info
We are out in the far east for our WTA tennis betting this week, as the Tour his Kuala Lumpur. This is an outdoors event on hard court, and this event follows on from the great action in Dubai last week, where Agnieszka Radwanska confirmed her fantastic form by taking out Germany’s Julia Goerges in the final of the event. The BMW Malaysian Open is a WTA International tier event, and that means that there isn’t too many of the world’s top stars out in force this week, however, there is a strong enough crop at the head of the tennis betting field to be able to narrow down your options early in the week and still take some good value. One glimmer of British interest here, with Anne Keothavong going.

There are live tennis streams from the WTA Malaysia Open this week, from online bookmaker Bet365. The highly rated online bookmaker are streaming the live action for their customers, through their great live sports streaming service. The streams are free for funded account holders, and new customers to Bet365 can get a free £200 bet when registering an account with them. The bookies pays a 100% matched deposit bonus on your first cash deposit to your new account.

WTA Malaysia Open Betting Defending Champion
It is Australia’s Jelena Dokic who is the defending champion for the WTA Malaysia Open. She won her first tournament on the WTA since 2002 here last year and is back for the defence of her title. Dokic saved two match points in her eventual victory over Czech left hander Lucie Safarova. We really haven’t seen anything of Dokic this year to suggest that she will pop up and defend her title, but that having been said, the world number fourteen does have a pretty draw in front of her for the tournament. She wouldn’t meet another decent seed until the quarter finals and then it would be her compatriot Jarmila Gajdosova (who is entering as a wild card and makes a better option than Dokic). The kind of chance that Dokic has is all summed in her price at the bookies, trading at 40/1 with Bet365 to defend her title. You do often look at tournament history for betting, but in this case it looks like a long shot.

WTA Malaysia Open Betting Favourite
That honour falls upon the young Polish shoulders of Agnieszka Radwanska, who is on the up and up at the moment. She is one of the star performers of the WTA this season, and heads to Kuala Lumpur on the back of picking up the title in Dubai on the weekend. Radwanska has rattled off a 15-3 win record for the season, which is remarkable, and the interesting fact about all that, is that all of her defeats have come at the hands of new world number one Victoria Azarenka. Other than that, she has been pretty much invincible. It is a deserved return for a hard working player, who has just put some very smart shot selection to work. She has to be confident and doesn’t really show any sign of slowing up. There is nothing too challenging in the draw for her, certainly not by the standards of the world number five at the moment, and if form carries through true for WTA Malaysia tennis betting, then Radwanska could be in the final. The young Pole is the firm favourite here, priced shortly at 5/4 with Totesport to pick up the title her, what would be the ninth of her career.

Other Contenders
Down in the bottom half of the draw is world number 14 Jelena Jankovic. Jankovic, a former world number one a few years ago, just hasn’t been the same player since a long injury in the 2010 season. However, she has the potential to upset the big guns and in a field like this, where she is one of the star attractions, then you expect her to go well. The Serbian met Radwanska in the semi final of Dubai last week, and actually played very well in the three set defeat. Well, she played well in patches, but the thing with Jankovic is that she seems to be contending well and then falls away quickly. But it was a highly improved tournament in terms of consistency for Jankovic, as she powered past Flavia Pennetta and Sam Stosur in Dubai before running on Radwanska in the semi’s. As the tournament second seed, she has a stroll to the final if she is on top of her game. China’s Shaui Peng is an interesting character in the field, because the sparky young player has a tremendous amount of talent, but she hasn’t come out of the blocks firing in 2012. This would be a good opportunity to get her confidence going again in a pretty easy field. Apart from that, you are looking at the offerings from Jarmila Gajdosova and Petra Martic, but again, like Peng haven’t exactly shown tournament winning form this season. So for your WTA Malaysia Open tennis betting, the clear favourites remain Agnieszka Radwanska and Jelena Jankovic.
