WTA Moscow Tennis Betting Info
This is the final week before the WTA Championships so we are not going to see an array of the word’s best out. But there is a strongly competitive field nonetheless out in Moscow this week as players look to finish the season on a high. This is the Kremlin Cup and there are three former Grand Slam champions in the field, the defending champion and two former world number one’s. So there is plenty of good action to look forward too from Russia.

WTA Moscow Tennis Betting Defending Champion
Slovakian Dominika Cibulkova went through a right battle to secure the first singles title of her career last season in Moscow. That was against Kaia Kanepi in the final and will defend a title for the first time in her career. So it will be about how well she handles that pressure. She has had some great moments this season, taking her second career title with a win in Carlsbad and finished as Runner Up in Barcelona. Cibulkova needs momentum behind her but she has gone off the boil a bit lately. She also had to retire from Beijing a couple of weeks ago in the first round because of injury. That makes her a bit of hit and miss to back solidly unfortunately. Cibulkova is trading at 33/1 with online bookmaker Bet Victor.

WTA Moscow Tennis Betting Favourite
French star Marion Bartoli is trading as favourite in the field for the Kremlin Cup. Bartoli is an alternate for the WTA Championship field and she is in good form making a run to the semi finals of Beijing recently. She was stopped there by Victoria Azarenka, which happens to most people against the Belarusian. Bartoli goes as number two seed this week and just her sheer work ethic alone could propel her forward. She needs a strong end to the season because she has had fitness problems during 2012, just when it looked like she would really break into the top ranks. Bartoli is trading as 11/4 favourite with online bookmaker Bet Victor but is in a tough quarter with Caroline Wozniacki and Cibulkova.

Other Contenders
Nadia Petrova all the way here to start things off with. The Russian will have the home support and won recently in Tokyo. That win, a big score over world number three Agnieszka Radwanska in the final seemed to take it out of her though as she lost her first match at Beijing the following week. The Russian rested up last week so really should make a strong charge here. Looks a very good option.

Australia’s Sam Stosur, who like Bartoli is an alternative to the Istanbul field next week went to the semi finals of the Japan Open last week and was expected to push for the title. However, she was unravelled in a three set loss against Chang Kai-Chen which was a big upset. That is the issue with Stosur, she is either hot orcold and very rarely is there any in-between with her. The disappointment of last week should spur her on, but it could also knock her confidence which could equally set her back. Unpredictable but till one of the stronger options in the field though.

Caroline Wozniacki, the former world number one has found some momentum and a winning formula finally. She picked up her first title of the year when she beat Kaia Kanepi in the final of Seoul recently. She backed that up with a run to the quarter finals of Tokyo, but again her inconsistencies plagued her in Beijing where she only made it to the round of 16 where she was beaten by Angelique Kerber. That suggests a downward turn in form for Wozniacki and she is in the most competitive half of the field.

Best Outside Bet
Very interested by Ana Ivanovic this week.
She had a surprising run to the quarter finals of the US Open this season and the former world number one hit the quarter finals of Linz last week. Surprisingly she was brushed aside very easily by Kristen Flipkens which was totally unexpected. What is in her favour though, going as number four seed this week, Ivanovic has the easiest quarter of the lot, which is stuffed with qualifiers. So she could use that to her advantage Ivanovic is trading at 12/1 with online bookmaker Bet Victor.
