WTA Tennis Betting Odds and Preview – Charleston and Katowice

Competitive fields in post-Premier Tier week

Tennis Betting

Couple of interesting WTA tennis betting tournaments to enjoy this week. The intensity dies down a little bit after the thrills of the Premier Tier back to back events of Indian Wells and Miami. So naturally a lot of the big guns are going to be taking a break after all that, but regardless the WTA Tour moves on to Charleston in the USA and Katowice in Poland this week.

Over in Katowice, Agnieszka Radwanska, who has been struggling for form this season heads up the market by a considerable distance, running as 7/4 favourite at online betting site Bet365. But given the way that she has been playing this season, there is a dangerous field around her which diminishes the value on her.

Alice Cornet, the reigning champion is bigger value at 4/1 and she is the one who knocked out Radwanska here last season. But there are other big dangerous players (at this level) in the mix as well. Camila Giorgi is in pretty good nick at the moment and reasonable each way value at 8/1, and the likes of Magdalena Rybarikova and Anna Karolina Schmiedlova are hanging around in there. No easy path to the final for Radwanska, so look elsewhere.

At WTA Charleston Eugenie Bouchard is one of the headliners at the Family Circle Cup. The season really hasn’t kicked off for the young Canadian yet, and that may detract punters from here. Reigning Champion Andrea Petkovic looks more dangerous at the moment and with the heavy hitting of Sloane Stephens in there as well, plus the in-form Jelena Jankovic, the draw looks pretty stacked.

You can also have a good look at young Caroline Garcia who is in the mix and with this being on clay, that should bring the Sara Errani into the picture as well, along with Angelique Kerber and Sam Stosur too as a reasonable outside shots in the field. Great action on the cards this week for your WTA Tennis betting.
