Injuries & Suspensions
Argentina's most famous football export is, of course, a certain Lionel Messi. The Little Magician is one of the greatest that the game has ever produced. While he has spent his career in Spain, what about the domestic scene back in Argentina? It's not something to be totally dismissed, not from a betting perspective at least because, with the timing of matches from the South American country, it can be a nice filler.
It can be a nice distraction in looking at a domestic league form halfway across the globe and that is because, during those times when perhaps your favoured domestic European League is done for the day, you can find betting opportunities elsewhere. But you can't just go jumping blindly into bets from the Argentina Primera Division, you are going to want to take a look at the injuries and suspensions list from the league, because that plays its part in making a betting decision.

The Argentinean top flight is a huge deal. There are 28 teams in there but the teams only play each of the others once in a round robin format. But still, naturally at some point, the wear and tear on players are going to come into effect and the injuries will start piling up. So you will want to know just when these are happening, which clubs are missing a key part of the lineup and when.

You can do this easily by looking at the list of current absentees right here on this page. Along with domestic glory in the top flight, there are places in the Copa Sudamericana, the Copa Libertadores and the Supercopa Argentina (for the league winner) up for grabs through finishing positions in the Primera Division. Four teams will also be staring at relegation too so it is an intense season, with plenty of rivalries like Buenos Aires duo Boca Juniors and River Plate, the Independiente v Racing high-profile derby and Newell's Old Boys against Rosario Central.
