Torino – Juric’s men won’t go down without a fight?

In turn, avoiding a third straight defeat having recently lost successive matches 1-0 to Juventus and Napoli. Those results do however mean the Turin based outfit retain a dismal record against the league’s elite this term, picking up one of a possible twelve points from match-ups against last season’s top-six.

However, former Hellas Verona coach Ivan Juric has quickly made this team much more competitive than they were last season. Torino have not been beaten by more than a solitary goal thus far, despite having already faced Atalanta, Juventus, Lazio and Napoli. Each of those games seen them give up costly late goals, a habit they will need to shake off if they are to avoid a fourth consecutive loss to AC Milan.

Key Stat: All but one of Torino’s nine Serie A matches in 2021-22 have seen at least one goal scored (by either side) in the 81st minute or later.

Bearing in mind how AC Milan laboured to victory against nine men at the weekend, this could be another tricky encounter. Facing a Torino side yet to be beaten by more than a single goal margin all season. The latter have found a way to push several of the division’s top teams (Atalanta, Juventus, Lazio and Napoli) close already, and so could, theoretically, thrive in a similar match-up at San Siro.
