League Two leaders, Accrington Stanley, will be looking to return to winning ways with the visit of lowly Yeovil Town to their Wham Stadium on Tuesday night after being held to a 1-1 draw at home by Exeter City on the weekend.
Accrington now hold a slender one point lead at the top of League Two ahead of second placed Luton Town who registered an easy 3-1 home win over Crewe Alexandra, and Accrington will no doubt be keen to inflict a similar score line upon Yeovil here tonight.
Accrington are in great form on home turf as they’ve won nine of their last ten amidst an overall record of 15-3-3 39/19, and they possess perhaps the deadliest attacking force in the division with the likes of Kee and Jackson up front for the hosts.
Onto Yeovil Town and they sit in 18th place following a three match run without a win in the fourth tier with defeats to Luton Town and Wycombe Wanderers, as well as a local derby 2-2 draw with Swindon Town.
Yeovil are virtually safe though from relegation now as they’re nine points ahead of second from bottom Barnet, with the London club having just three league matches remaining to save themselves from the drop.
Yeovil’s away record stands at a disappointing 4-6-10 28/42 but The Glovers have certainly made a significant improvement on their travels in recent times as the west country outfit have suffered just one defeat from their last seven on the road.
The visitors have recorded recent away wins at Colchester United and Coventry City, the latter being a 6-2 thrashing of Coventry at the Ricoh Arena, but I fancy Accrington to bounce back with a win here.
