Football – Europe – Euro 2016 Betting Tips

Albania are set to play their first ever match in a major tournament on Saturday afternoon when they take on Switzerland at the Stade Ballaert-Delelis in Lens, and they’ll be looking to write another chapter in their success story in the Euro 2016 finals.

Albania coach Gianni De Biasi has achieved what no other Albanian manager has done before in their footballing history, as they secured automatic qualification to the Euro 2016 finals having finished runners-up to Group I winners Portugal and two points ahead of third placed Denmark.

However, since qualifying, Albania have posted some mixed results (some of which have been pretty ordinary to be honest) as they’ve suffered defeats to Austria and Ukraine along with draws against Kosovo and Georgia while wins over Qatar and Luxembourg were almost expected.

Switzerland finished runners-up to England in Group E having won seven of their ten group qualifying matches, but in truth the form book pretty much ran as expected with the top two strongest teams qualifying from a weak group.

Since qualifying though, the Swiss have won just two of their subsequent six matches which were wins over Austria and Moldova, but losses to Slovakia, Republic of Ireland, Bosnia-Herzegovina and Belgium make Saturday afternoon’s contest far from a formality.

But quality in the final third could be the difference between the two teams here today, and despite the commendable values of hard work and solidity of the Albanians, they perhaps lack that cutting edge up front to worry the better european outfits.

I fancy Switzerland’s team that consists of players such as Shaqiri, Mehmedi, Behrami and Xhaka who may just make the difference.
