Sint-Truiden Preview – Can Sint-Truiden find consistency?
An inconsistent campaign in last season’s Belgian top flight resulted with Sunday’s visitors, Sint-Truiden, finishing in the bottom half of the First Division A in 12th place, but they’ll be keen to build upon last weekend’s season-opening 2-1 win over Gent at home when they make their way to Anderlecht.
In actual fact, that win over Gent ended a miserable run of four matches without a win in the domestic top flight as they ended their last campaign with three defeats within these four matches, losing to Cercle Brugge, Gent and Mechelen, while picking up a point in a 0-0 draw away at Standard Liege on what turned out to be the final day of the season.
Sint-Truiden have also managed to pick up just one win out of their last six matches on their travels which was at Excel Mouscron but four losses within these six matches underlines the problems that the visitors endured on the road last term.
