ARSENAL v LIVERPOOL

Saturday 3rd November 2018 – Kickoff: 1730hrs

Football – England – Premier League Betting Tips

The stand-out fixture in this weekend’s Premier League is undoubtedly the clash between Arsenal and Liverpool at the Emirates Stadium in the later kick-off on Saturday – read on for our betting tips…

After losing their first two matches of the season to the heavy hitters, Manchester City and Chelsea, a few questions started to surface about the appointment of new manager, Unai Emery who replaced the long-serving Arsene Wenger, but Emery has quickly silenced his critics as his Arsenal side embarked upon a seven-match winning streak.

Wins over West Ham, Cardiff, Newcastle, Everton, Watford, Fulham and Leicester in truth were games that Arsenal should have won anyway, but this winning sequence has prompted songs such as “We’ve got our Arsenal back” from the Gunners’ faithful, and although they drew 2-2 at Crystal Palace, they nevertheless bring an eight match unbeaten run into this vital clash.

Arsenal’s home record stands at  4-0-1 10/4 which has been helped by the early goalscoring form of forwards Aubameyang (7 goals) and Lacazette (4 goals), but the hosts need to prove they can get a result against one of the ‘big six’ here this evening.

Onto Liverpool and they sit joint top of the Premier League with Manchester City level on 26 points apiece and four points ahead of Arsenal prior to their trip down to the nation’s capital for this match of the weekend.

Liverpool’s progress was checked in recent times by stalemates against Chelsea (1-1 away) and a 0-0 draw at home with Manchester City, but no ground was given up nor points lost so Jurgen Klopp will be delighted with his team’s season to date.

The visitors returned to winning ways in their last two matches though as Liverpool registered comfortable wins against Huddersfield Town away and a 4-1 romp over Cardiff City at Anfield, while their away record reads a healthy looking  4-1-0  8/3.

Wins at Crystal Palace, Leicester City, Tottenham and Huddersfield have placed Liverpool as one of the closest rivals to Manchester City to lift the title, but today’s match against Arsenal is also a big test that Klopp’s men need to pass if they’re to be considered as serious challengers to the current title holders, City.

The Reds possess Mane (6 goals) and Salah (5 goals) in their attacking armoury, and are Liverpool’s best hopes of goals here too.

The last two encounters at the Emirates Stadium between these two teams have produced a 3-3 draw and a 4-3 win for Liverpool, and my betting tips advise we’ll see both teams score in this one too.
