There’s further action from the Premier League on Sunday afternoon, and the weekend’s action wraps up saving the best for last as Arsenal take on Tottenham in the North London derby as the betting tips continue at The Emirates Stadium.

Arsenal Prediction – Can Arsenal bounce back from defeat?

Unai Emery’s side were dealt an early blow in the Premier league last weekend when they suffered a heavy 3-1 loss way from home at Anfield against an in-form Liverpool side who are expected to once again challenge for the league title this term.

Whilst Arsenal aren’t expected to challenge for the title, anything other than a top four finish will be seen as a major disappointment, so The Gunners will be eager to return to winning ways against their old North London rivals, Tottenham, in a match that holds even more significance this time around.

Both teams head into this clash on the back of defeats, but prior to their defeat to Liverpool, Arsenal had been unbeaten in 4 matches which included back-to-back wins to start this new Premier League campaign off in positive fashion.

Wins over Newcastle United 1-0 away and a 2-1 home win against Burnley gave The Gunners a welcome 6-point start, and having suffered just 1 defeat out of their last 19 matches at The Emirates in the top flight, Arsenal will be confident they can bounce back here.

Tottenham Prediction – Can Tottenham turn form around?

It seems a bizarre statement to make, but in actual fact, Tottenham have managed to record just 1 win out of their last 6 matches in the Premier League which was their opening match of the season against Aston Villa where Spurs won 3-1 at their new Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

An excellent 2-2 draw away at current title holders, Manchester City, saw Tottenham grab a well-earned point at The Etihad Stadium which should have been the platform from which to launch a decent sequence of results in this new campaign.

However, the white side of North London failed to capitalise on their first two decent results last weekend as they slumped to a very disappointing 1-0 defeat at home to Newcastle United. The visitors therefore also have plenty of incentive to grab the points in this clash, not only because it’s a local derby either.

Results away from home though in recent times have been woeful where Tottenham are concerned as the visitors are without a win from their last 7 away matches, losing 6 of these, so an away win would seem unlikely.

Key-Facts – Arsenal v Tottenham

  • Arsenal have lost just 1 of their last 19 matches at home in the Premier League
  • Tottenham are without a win from their last 7 away matches in the EPL
  • Both Arsenal and Tottenham come into this local derby on the back of defeats

Betting Tips Verdict

Arsenal seem to have the edge here, but although Tottenham have struggled on the road of late, beware the wounded animal. Oh, and anyone backing against Kane scoring takes a big risk. Both teams to score here.
