Only four teams are left in this season’s Emirates FA Cup. On Saturday, Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal take on Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City at Wembley Stadium in the first semi-final. Will the holders book their place in another domestic final, or can the Gunners cause an upset? Check out our FA Cup betting preview, with the latest odds and best tips.

Arsenal Preview – Can the Gunners upset City in the national stadium?

Arsenal have certainly improved under Mikel Arteta, but they are still far from the finished article. The Gunners will miss out on a UEFA Champions League place, while they face a real battle to take one the UEFA Europa League spots in the Premier League.

Last weekend, Arsenal fell to a disappointing derby defeat to Tottenham Hotspur. Despite taking the lead through Alexandre Lacazette’s thunderbolt strike, Arteta’s men conceded twice to lose 2-1 to neighbours Spurs at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. However, the Londoners followed that with a 2-1 win over Premier League champions Liverpool at the Emirates Stadium on Wednesday night.

On their way to the FA Cup final, Arsenal have seen off Leeds United, Bournemouth and Portsmouth. Shortly after the football action resumed last month, the Gunners edged past Chris Wilder’s Sheffield United at Bramall Lane to book their place in the last four.

Arsenal go up against Pep’s superstars as the big underdogs, but football is a funny old game, and the Gunners will back themselves to cause a shock on London soil.

Manchester City Preview – Citizens to feature in yet another final?

Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City have dominated the domestic cup competitions in recent years. The Citizens won the Premier League, Carabao Cup and FA Cup last term, adding another EFL Cup to their trophy cabinet earlier this year. City are also in the latter stages of the Champions League once again.

Man City have blown hot and cold since the restart, but when they have been hot, they have been very hot. Before beating struggling Bournemouth 2-1 at the Etihad Stadium in midweek, Pep’s men picked up back-to-back 5-0 wins over Newcastle United and Brighton & Hove Albion.

The Manchester club have been very solid in the tournament this season, beating the likes of Port Vale, Fulham and Sheffield Wednesday in the earlier rounds. Last time out in the FA Cup, goals from Kevin De Bruyne and Raheem Sterling gave City a comfortable 2-0 win over Newcastle United at St James’ Park.

Guardiola’s troops are the overwhelming favourites to see off Arsenal and secure their spot in a second successive FA Cup final.

Arsenal vs Manchester City Betting Advice

These two sides met just last month at the Etihad in the Premier League, with Man City romping to a 3-0 home win. Sterling, De Bruyne and Phil Foden got the goals in that one. City also won 3-0 at the Emirates back in December, with De Bruyne helping himself to a brace and Sterling also on target in the capital.

Key Facts – Arsenal vs Manchester City Betting Tip

  • Man City have won each of the last seven league and cup meetings
  • The Gunners’ last victory in this fixture came in the FA Cup in April 2017
  • Guardiola’s side have scored 12 goals in their past three matches

Arsenal will be sick of the sight of Manchester City, and I fancy the Citizens to seal an eighth straight victory over the Gunners on Saturday. City are available at the tempting price of 13/10 to win to nil at Wembley.
