Following a 7-0 rout at the hands of Liverpool last time out in the Premier League, Roy Hodgson will be keen to see a positive response from his side who looked shell-shocked after their humiliating defeat at Selhurst Park.
That heavy loss became a third league match without a win for Crystal Palace who had previously drawn 1-1 with London rivals, Tottenham and West Ham respectively, while The Eagles have managed to win just one of their last six matches.
That win came in the shape of a 5-1 battering of West Brom in the west midlands but the bigger picture shows that the visitors have won just three out of their last 11 matches on their travels and could face a tough trip on Boxing Day.
