The European Championship qualifiers resume on Friday night and our next fixture features a Group G encounter between Austria and Slovenia as the betting tips continue at the Wörthersee Stadion with the hosts looking to avoid a third consecutive defeat.
Austria – Can Austria halt their losing start?
Austria have started their European Championship qualifying campaign in poor fashion as they’ve been handed back-to-back defeats at the start of the Group G group campaign, losing 1-0 at home to Poland which was followed by a heavy defeat away at Israel in a 4-2 loss.

Slovenia Prediction – Can Slovenia get something out of Austria trip?
It’s perhaps no surprise that Slovenia have started their Euro 2020 qualifying campaign with back-to-back draws which has placed them in 4th spot in Group G following stalemates with both Israel and North Macedonia, and both resulting in 1-1 draws.
Slovenia have earned something of a reputation of being the ‘draw specialists’ in recent times as the visitors have drawn all of their last 5 matches in all competitions, which include additional draws with Cyprus, Norway and Bulgaria in the Nations League.
However, the flip-side means that Slovenia have actually won just 1 of their last 13 matches in all competitions which was a 2-0 win away at Montenegro back in June last year in a friendly, while also losing 6 of these 13 matches.
Turning to results away from home, and the win at Montenegro has been Slovenia’s only success in their last 11 matches on their travels, and I daresay the visitors would settle for a point away in Austria this Friday night.
In addition, Slovenia have failed to score in 6 of these last 11 matches away from home too, so they look to have their work cut out to even get a point against Austria here.
