If Ayr are to upset their Premiership opponents then Tomi Adeloye will have to play a big part. He’s scored three goals already in his short career at Somerset.

Tam Courts has managed to do something in his short managerial career that every Scottish Premiership manager failed to do last season, and that’s beat Rangers. Dundee United turned in their best performance since returning to the Premiership to get the better of Steven Gerrard’s men. Charlie Mulgrew provided excellent leadership and experience whilst the Arabs were able to unsettle their opponents with energy and a high press throughout the game.
Jamie Robson got the winning goal and it was the perfect response to an opening day defeat and limp performance when losing to Aberdeen.

United were flawless in the group stage of the League Cup. They won four from four, scored nine goals and conceded just once. It may not have been the strongest of sections but they done what they had to do. Courts will know that his team face a stubborn challenge in this one if they are to progress to the quarter-finals.
