A bottom half clash in the Argentinian top flight is up next as Belgrano take on Tigre with further betting tips available on Monday night.
Belgrano sit in a lowly 24th place in the Superliga and their plight hasn’t been helped by the hosts managing to win just once in their last 11 matches which was a 2-0 win over Gimnasia La Plata which was one of just two victories all season so far.
Both of Belgrano’s league wins have been registered at their Estadio Julio César Villagra where they possess an okay record of 2-3-2 6/6 which includes an earlier win over mid-table Estudiantes, but they’ve also held the likes of San Martin San Juan, Newell’s Old Boys and Banfield to points in draws too.
Forwards Suarez and Sequeira (2 goals apiece) are the main threats up front for the hosts.
Onto Tigre and they haven’t fared much better as they sit three league positions above their hosts but only two points ahead as they currently occupy 21st place in Superliga following just two wins from their last 10 matches overall.
Like Belgrano, these two wins have been record at home on their Estadio José Dellagiovanna turf, but results away from home have been pretty ordinary so far this campaign; an away record of 1-2-4 6/13 includes four defeats from their last five matches on their travels.
Defeats at Atletico Tucuman, Newell’s Old Boys, Boca Juniors and Defensa y Justicia have meant that the visitors haven’t been able to lift themselves further up the Argentinian top flight league ladder.
This could be a low-scoring and tight affair but the betting tips advise backing Belgrano with the handicap in this one.
