A mid-table tussle between Blackburn Rovers and QPR is up next as the betting tips continue in Saturday’s instalment of the Championship.
Blackburn Rovers sit in 12th place on the Championship league ladder which is not a bad start for Tony Mowbray’s men in their return to the second tier following instant promotion from League One at the end of last season.
However, Rovers have produced mixed results in their past few matches which have resulted in wins against Bolton Wanderers and Leeds United but have also tasted defeat against Sheffield United and Swansea City.
Ewood Park remains a pretty solid ground though for Blackburn who have lost just once so far this season on home soil with a record of 2-4-1 8/8 although I daresay Mowbray would have liked a few more wins than stalemates. Just two defeats from their last 15 home matches in the Championship tells its own story, although Rovers have drawn 7 of these.
QPR continued their revival under Steve McClaren last weekend when they registered all three points in a 1-0 home win over an out of sorts Aston Villa side, and having won four of their last five matches in the Championship, the visitors will be confident they can walk away with something from Blackburn.
Recent wins over Reading, Ipswich Town, Sheffield Wednesday and Aston Villa have helped lift QPR into the top half of the division, while their away record of 3-1-3 6/12 has also improved of late following wins at Bolton, Reading and Ipswich.
Just one point separates these two sides ahead of Saturday afternoon’s clash at Ewood Park and with the teams evenly matched, my betting tips suggest a draw here.
