A 3-0 home win over fellow Championship counterparts, Middlesbrough, in the 1st round of the League Cup saw Blackpool progress into this 2nd round stage of the domestic cup competition but The Seasiders have struggled otherwise.
Blackpool still remain without a win in the Championship this season having drawn with Bristol City and Bournemouth along with losing to Cardiff City and Coventry City, both of which were on home soil at Bloomfield Road.

League One wins against Wigan Athletic and MK Dons along with a 2-1 win away from home at Port vale in the 1st round of the League Cup have seen Lee Johnson’s men off to a good start this season and they’ll fancy their chances of claiming a Championship scalp on Tuesday night.
The Black Cats have also lost just one of their last eight games on the road as well, so the visitors look the more likely here to progress.
