Bolivia Prediction- Can Bolivia get off the mark?

Bolivia’s Copa America campaign got off to the worst possible start as they were handed a heavy 3-0 defeat by the tournament favourites and hosts, Brazil in the opening match of Group A.

Defeat to Brazil extended Bolivia’s poor sequence of results as they’ve now had to endure a run of 8 matches without a win in all competitions.

Indeed, Bolivia have managed to record just 1 win out of their last 17 matches on the international scene, which was a 3-0 win away at minnows, Myanmar back in October last year.

As the Copa America tournament represents an away schedule, Bolivia’s results on the road have also been poor over an extended period of time.

Four defeats on the trot to South Korea, Japan, France and Brazil doesn’t bode well for Bolivia ahead of this clash with Peru, along with just 1 away win from their last 16 on the road.

This poor run of form includes a 2-1 loss to tonight’s opponents, Peru, back in September 2017 in a World Cup qualifier.

Peru Prediction – Can Peru take advantage?

Peru opened their account in Group A with a shared point wiht Venezuela in a 0-0 draw but at least they gained a point to get them off the ground.

They now look to be in direct competition with Venezuela for the second place spot behind favourites to win the group, Brazil, who look a class act and a cut above the rest of the group.

Peru’s recent fixtures have not been entirely convincing though as they’ve collected just 2 wins out of their last 8 matches overall.

Wins against Paraguay and Costa Rica have been worth victories though, and although they’ve won just 5 of their last 14 away matches, they’ve also lost just 3 as well.

That said, there’s no disgrace in the 3 recent defeats as they lost to France, Netherlands and Germany, while draws with Sweden, USA and Venezuela show they’re no pushovers.

The likes of midfielder Carillo and Farfan along with forward Guerrero should be able to breach the Bolivian defence here.
