5th placed Marseille could move themselves into the Europa League spot if they manage to take all three points at Bordeaux on Friday night as they trail 4th placed Saint-Etienne by just a single point ahead of this weekend’s action.
Overall, Marseille have lost just once in their last eight matches in the French top flight which was a heavy 3-1 loss away at the Ligue 1 runaway leaders, PSG, but recent wins over Saint-Etienne and Nice have kept the visitors in the hunt for a top four finish.
However, mixed results away from home amidst an overall away record which stands at 5-2-8 20/29 mean that Marseille are far from guaranteed all three points in this clash as they’ve recorded wins at Caen and Dijon but have also lost at Saint-Etienne, Reims and PSG.
