Football – England – National League Betting Tips

The other play-off semi-final in the National League is between Boreham Wood and Fylde who finished in fourth and seventh respectively in the non-league top flight, with Boreham Wood having home advantage first at their Meadow Park as they look to record back-to-back home wins.

Boreham Wood registered a healthy 3-1 home win over already relegated outfit, Guiseley, to ensure they claimed fourth spot, and although they’ve suffered recent defeats to Halifax Town, Macclesfield Town and Bromley, the hosts have been pretty steady on home turf in recent times.

‘Wood have lost just twice in their last ten at home amidst an overall record of  12-5-6  33/25 while their last meeting at home against tonight’s opponents, Fylde, ended with a 1-0 win for the hosts. Andrada (20 goals) and Balanta (10 goals) will seek to press home their advantage here.

Fylde just about sneaked over the line on the weekend to claim the final play-off spot as they held 10th placed Wrexham to a 0-0 draw away at the Racecourse Ground, and they beat off a late challenge from Dover Athletic who registered a 2-1 win at Woking, but superior goal difference saw Fylde progress to the play-offs.

Fylde come into this clash without a win in their last three though following a 1-0 defeat at Maidstone United and back-to-back draws with Solihull Moors and Wrexham, while away from home, their results have been very mixed indeed.

Wins at fifth from bottom Barrow and relegated Torquay United were expected, but defeats at bottom club, Guiseley, as well as losses at Dagenham & Redbridge and Maidstone United perhaps show Fylde’s soft under-belly, as well as an away record of  9-4-10  31/29 which includes the most away defeats in the top seven of the division.
