Borussia Dortmund find themselves having a mountain to climb in this 2nd leg of the round of 16 in the Champions League even though they have home advantage against a Tottenham outfit who dished out a 3-0 thrashing in the first leg at Wembley to the German hosts.
Dortmund are finding life a little tough at the moment as the German club have managed just one win from their last seven matches in all competitions, with their one success during this period being a 3-2 home win over Bayer Leverkusen in the Bundesliga, but defeats to Werder Bremen in the DFP cup, the first leg loss at Tottenham and Saturday’s loss at Augsburg in the Bundesliga puts the hosts on the back foot here.
However, Dortmund must go on the attack here from the off if they’re to overhaul this three-goal deficit, and with the likes of midfielder Sancho (8 goals) along with forwards Alcacer and Reus (13 goals) apiece, the hosts should score at least once here in their bid to overcome the odds here.
Dortmund are very capable of scoring, but also conceding, in equal measure, and this is underlined by the fact that 17 of their last 19 home matches in all competitions have seen the over 2.5 goals result come in, as well as 14 of the 19 matches seeing both teams score.

Tottenham have one foot firmly planted in the quarter-finals of the Champions League following their emphatic and unexpected 3-0 romp over Borussia Dortmund at Wembley in the first leg, and they now take a 3-goal advantage over to Germany to protect in this second leg with Spurs being placed as firm favourites to progress here.
However, Tottenham head into this crucial tie without a win from their last three matches as they’ve recently suffered back-to-back defeats to Burnley and Chelsea along with a point in a 1-1 draw in the north London derby against Arsenal, so the visitors aren’t quite on song right now.
Spurs have also lost their last four away matches on the trot in all competitions with losses at the aforementioned Burnley and Chelsea in the Premier League as well as cup defeats at Chelsea (League Cup) and Crystal Palace (FA Cup), so this second leg on Tuesday night looks far from over!
Tottenham will probably sit deep and then hit Dortmund on the counter-attack with the likes of Son (11 goals) and Kane (16 goals) looking to exploit the hosts pushing forward, and as a result we could well see a few goals again here.
