Newcastle United are just one league position below their hosts, Bournemouth, ahead of their long trip down to the south coast this Saturday, but find themselves three points behind their hosts despite capturing a third win in four matches with a 3-2 home win over Everton last weekend.
Previous back-to-back wins against Huddersfield Town and Burnley, both by 2-0 margins have almost certainly guaranteed Newcastle’s Premier League safety for another season under manager Rafa Benitez, but another three points at Bournemouth would further enhance their top flight status.
