Bournemouth Preview – Comfortable win for the Cherries?

Since taking over from the popular Eddie Howe, Jason Tindall has made Bournemouth hard to beat. Only Manchester City and Sheffield Wednesday have edged past them this season. Since that defeat at Hillsborough, Bournemouth have bounced back with wins over Birmingham City and Reading.

Tindall’s team were 2-0 down at half time at home against the Royals last weekend, but a sensational second-half display saw the Cherries take all three points. Dominic Solanke netted twice, while Arnaut Groeneveld and Lewis Cook were also on the scoresheet in the 4-2 victory.

Our betting prediction:
Both teams to score – No

Before those back-to-back wins, Bournemouth had picked up just one victory in six in the Championship. Still, they are sitting pretty in second at present, a point behind leaders Norwich City.

Bournemouth will be hoping to make it three wins in a row on Tuesday. The bookies have made them the big favourites in this one, pricing the home win at just 3/4.

Nottingham Forest Preview – Can the Reds cause an upset at the Vitality?

Nottingham Forest are still recovering from a woeful start to their season under Sabri Lamouchi. Before Chris Hughton’s arrival, the Reds lost each of their opening five league and cup fixtures.

Hughton has definitely steadied the ship since taking over at the City Ground, starting with a 1-0 win at Blackburn Rovers in his first game in charge on October 17th. Before losing to Barnsley last weekend, Forest had won back-to-back games for the first time since July of last season, seeing off Coventry City and Wycombe Wanderers at the City Ground.

Forest are certainly capable, but Tuesday’s clash against high-flying Bournemouth will be a difficult one for Hughton’s Reds. The bookmakers have the away win priced at 15/4, while the draw is available at 13/5.

Bournemouth vs Nottingham Forest Betting Advice

This will be the first Bournemouth vs Nottingham Forest meeting since February 2015. The Cherries were promoted that season, but Forest did the double, winning 2-1 both home and away.

Key Facts – Bournemouth vs Nottingham Forest Betting Tip

  • These two clubs have not met for over five years
  • Bournemouth are just one point off top spot at present
  • Forest have lost only two games since Hughton arrived at the City Ground

With Bournemouth stating to find their feet in the Championship, that could be an ominous sign for their promotion rivals. On paper, the Cherries still have a Premier League squad.

Forest will undoubtedly have a good go under Hughton, but Bournemouth should ease past the Reds and claim a third Championship victory on the bounce this Tuesday. Check out Unibet’s solid odds of 21/10 for the home team to win -1.

Solanke scored twice in Bournemouth’s 4-2 win over Reading last Saturday. Put a few quid on the former Liverpool man to score anytime on Tuesday at 13/10.
