Brazil v Belgium Betting Tip Brazil – World Cup 2018

Brazil can live up to tag as favourites

Friday 6th July 1900hrs Brazil v Belgium Football – International – World Cup For a while it was looking as though the favourites Brazil would be facing Japan in this quarter final clash but Belgium produced a dramatic recovery and booked their place at this stage for the second consecutive tournament. It’s a mouth watering prospect as two teams packed with offensive quality come together for a place in the final four. The winners will face either Uruguay or France next Tuesday but the only consideration at the moment is what is the best betting tips as Brazil take on Belgium.

Past Brazil teams have dazzled with an unerring desire to entertain as well as win and it has worked for the main as no nation has won more than the Samba stars tally of five. They remain favourites to add to that tally in Russia this summer but the philosophy and approach is different these days. Virtually all their squad ply their trade in Europe and that has impacted upon the tactics employed by head coach, Tite. It probably isn’t much of a surprise considering they were embarrassed 7-1 as hosts four years ago but there has been a definite move towards a more possession based game and tiring the opposition out. That was how they found success against Mexico in the previous round and they are one of the few teams who have been able to finish very strongly in all their games thus far. Do they have another level to go up?!

Belgium looked down and out in their second round match against Japan as Roberto Martinez’ men conceded two quickfire goals in the second half. The articles were already being penned that would criticise the Belgians for being another big tournament where much was expected but they failed to deliver as a ‘golden generation’. The tag of bottlers has blighted this group of players but there can be no argument about their fighting response in the last half hour which not only seen them draw level but score a wonderful winner with virtually the last kick of the ball. It may not have been true to Martinez’ beliefs about how the game should be played but going more direct and utilising their height and size advantage proved effective. It’s not likely that Belgium will use that same approach from the outset on Friday but it’s a useful tactic to deploy if needed.

Brazil v Belgium Betting Tips

This was a game that could be picked out when the draw was made back in December as a potential quarter final and it has worked out that way. Both sides have stars playing at the very highest level of club football for the biggest clubs in European football and we hope that is translated on to the field. Some have underperformed thus far and if Belgium are to win you feel that more has to come from Kevin de Bruyne. He is most certainly capable but Brazil have been very good with and without the ball and I think they are only going to improve – I fancy to win this one quite cosily in the end.
