Football – World – World Cup 2018 Betting Tips

Welcome to my World Cup 2018 betting tips, and Brazil will take on Mexico at the Samara Arena with the Brazilians looking to extend their impressive 14-match unbeaten run as they search for a place in the last eight of this World Cup.

Brazil started their World Cup campaign with a 1-1 draw against Switzerland who were considered the front runners to finish behind Brazil in Group E, and this proved to be the case as they ended as runners-up.

Back to Brazil, and they returned to winning ways with a solid 2-0 win over Costa Rica thanks to late, late goals from and Coutinho and Neymar which spare their blushes as the Costa Ricans seemed to be heading for a valuable point.

Brazil then followed that up with a victory over Serbia in a 2-0 win with goals from Paulinho and Thiago Silva which means that Tite’s side have conceded just one goal but have scored from various personnel which is an encouraging sign.

Onto Mexico, and they finished runners-up behind winners, Sweden, in Group F but only by an inferior goal difference as the Mexicans have emerged as one of the dark horses along with Croatia to lift the World Cup this year.

Both Sweden and Mexico were supposed to be vying for the runners-up spot behind favourites, Germany, but the Germans ended up in bottom place in an amazing capitulation which saw them lose their opening group match 1-0 to Mexico.

Having despatched the Germans, Mexico’s job of progressing out of the group stages became a whole lot easier, especially after a 2-1 win over South Korea which virtually guaranteed them a place in the last 16. However, a last group match 3-0 defeat to Sweden perhaps muddies the waters again where Mexico are concerned as they struggled to contain the Swedes even with the likes of Guardado, Herrera, Vela, Lozano and Hernandez in the starting eleven.

There’s therefore quite a large element of doubt surrounding Mexico’s ability to contain Brazil, and my betting tips suggest a Brazil win here.
