Brazil Prediction- Can Brazil gain fifth win on trot?

Brazil chalked up a fourth win on the trot when they secured all three points in their opening match in Group A with a 3-0 win over Bolivia.

This opening win of this year’s Copa America tournament followed three previous victories on the trot against Czech Republic, Qatar and Honduras in 3-1, 2-0 and 7-0 wins respectively.

The hosts are therefore in good nick ahead of this Tuesday night clash with Venezuela as Brazil look to make the most of a favourable group schedule.

Another three points against Venezuela would virtually seal Brazil’s progression through to the quarter-finals of this tournament as no other team in the group has managed a win in their first game of the group stages to date.

Overall, Brazil have won 10 of their last 11 matches in all competitions and within this impressive record are an equally impressive 9 clean sheets.

As well as a solid defensive unit, Brazil also boast the likes of Coutinho and Fernandinho in midfield as well as forwards Firmino, Willian Jesus and Richarlison – all of whom are currently plying their trade in the English Premier League.

Venezuela Prediction – Can Venezuela get any change out of Brazil?

Venezuela were held to a 0-0 draw with Peru in their opening match in Group A and head into this difficult looking encounter with the strongly fancied hosts with just 1 point to their name.

Brazil’s opposition will be hoping they can perhaps nick a point off the hosts here, and having recorded a 3-1 win over Argentina in a friendly back in March, they’ll be hoping they can repeat their heroics against Brazil in this clash.

Venezuela have suffered just 5 defeats out of their last 19 matches overall which is a pretty solid record on the international scene, but the step up in quality could provide a very stern test of their credentials on Tuesday night.

Previous history is also against Venezuela as they’ve lost their last three meetings on the trot against Brazil, so this could be shaping up for a fourth loss here.

Venezuela’s main hopes rest upon the form of their forwards Martinez and Rondon up front, but they’ll be up against a miserly Brazilian defence on Tuesday night.

Key-Facts – Bolivia v Peru

  • Brazil have won 10 of their last 11 matches in all competitions
  • Brazil have won the last 3 meetings against Venezuela
  • Venezuela have suffered just 5 defeats out of their last 19 matches

Betting Tips Verdict

Brazil know another win here would virtually seal their place in the quarter-finals with a game to spare, while Venezuela’s best hopes appear to be a point.
