Football – England – Championship Betting Tips

Griffin Park is the venue of the next preview as Brentford entertain Swansea city with further betting tips from the Championship this Saturday afternoon.

Brentford ended a worrying three-match losing streak earlier this week when they held third placed West Brom to a creditable 1-1 draw at The Hawthorns which was a good reaction to previous defeats to QPR, Middlesbrough and Sheffield United.

It’s worth pointing out though that Brentford played three of the top six clubs in these last four matches but they have a very reasonable looking opportunity of getting something out of this clash with mid-table Swansea City.

Brentford’s home record stands at  5-2-3 19/11 but they’ve managed just one win from their last six on home turf which was a 2-0 win over Millwall, but strikers Maupay (13 goals) and Watkins (6 goals) have been hitting the back of the net in recent weeks.

Swansea City make their way down to London on the back of four defeats from their last five matches with manager Graham Potter coming under increasing pressure to get The Swans back up the table and at least challenge for a play-off place following last season’s relegation from the Premier League.

The visitors made a reasonable start to this Championship campaign as they were unbeaten in their first four matches which included wins over Sheffield United and Preston North End, but they headed into November and early December with defeats to Rotherham United, Norwich City, West Brom and Derby County.

An away record of  3-3-4  7/8 looks okay at first glance but it involves Swansea winning just once in their last seven away matches, that being a 1-0 win at second from bottom Bolton Wanderers.

Another defeat here could see Potter lose his job and the betting tips fancy Brentford with the handicap here.
