Brentford Preview – Bees to make it back-to-back wins?

Having taken just one point from their previous two, losing at Stoke City and drawing with Norwich City, the Bees picked up a much-needed win last time out. Thomas Frank’s men were excellent at Kenilworth Road, cruising to a 3-0 win over Luton Town thanks to goals from Rico Henry, Ivan Toney and Marcus Forss.

Brentford, last season’s losing play-off finalists, have been in patchy form at the start of this season. Overall, the Bees have won four, drawn two and lost three, scoring 16 and shipping 11 in the process. Having won only one of their opening four, Frank’s boys have since secured three victories in their last five in the Championship.

Our betting prediction:
Both teams to score

Tuesday’s fixture is a big one for Brentford as they look for momentum in the Championship. They have been solid in their new home so far, winning four of their opening six league and cup matches and losing just once. Will the Bees fly to three points on their own patch this Tuesday?

Swansea City Preview – Can the high-flying Swans leave London with a positive result?

Swansea City made a superb start last season, eventually finishing in sixth and taking the final play-off place. The Swans have made another stunning start to a Championship campaign, sitting second on 18 points ahead of this round of fixtures. This time, Steve Cooper’s boys will be hoping to end their season with promotion to the Premier League.

The Swans have looked outstanding at times this term, racking up an impressive five wins from their opening nine. Only league leaders Reading have won more and taken more points up until now. City have conceded just five goals, scoring 12 at the other end.

Swansea have just had a very productive week at home, beating both Stoke City and Blackburn Rovers 2-0 at the Liberty Stadium. They are also unbeaten on the road in this season’s Championship, winning two and drawing two of four.

Brentford vs Swansea City Betting Advice

This will be the first meeting between the pair since they locked horns in the Championship play-offs last term. Swansea won the first leg 1-0 in South Wales, but a 3-1 victory for Brentford at Griffin Park put the Londoners through. The Bees went on to lose 2-1 to west London rivals Fulham in the final at Wembley Stadium.

Key Facts – Brentford vs Swansea City Betting Tip

  • Brentford beat Swansea three times last season
  • The Bees and Swans met in the 2019-20 Championship play-offs, with the London side going through to the final with a 3-2 aggregate win
  • The Welsh side have lost only one of their opening nine league matches this term

Brentford did the double over Swansea in the regular meetings last season, winning 3-0 at the Liberty and 3-1 at Griffin Park. We fancy the Bees to edge this one at the Brentford Community Stadium on Tuesday. Have a punt on the hosts to win by a one-goal margin at 13/5.

Ivan Toney has hit the ground running since his move to Brentford from Peterborough United, scoring nine Championship goals in his last seven. Toney is available at 15/4 to open the scoring in midweek.
