Three successive victories has all but eased any uncertainty regarding relegation for the West London club. Brentford have 39 points after 33 games and are now closer to sixth-placed Manchester United than they are Burnley in 18th. Many in their situation might take their foot off the gas. The playmaker supplied the assist for their late winner last time out against Watford (1-2), his creative quality galvanising a team that had gone eight Premier League games without a win before his first start.

Tottenham – Grip on fourth reduced to mere goal difference?
Arguably the most fascinating battle in the Premier League isn’t that at the very top but the one just below, as a bunch of sides amble from one mishap to another in their efforts to clinch that fourth and, most likely, final Champions League berth. Tottenham appeared to be in complete control when reeling off four straight wins, but then went and lost 1-0 at home to Brighton without managing a shot on target.
Spurs were in red hot form prior to last week’s setback, notching 14 times in those four victories. Aside from maybe Liverpool, they were the league’s in-form attacking side. So quite where it all went wrong is a mystery. However, Antonio Conte will be pleased to know his side responded well to previous losses, bouncing back to win the last two times they were in this predicament, both away from home and to nil.
