Brighton Prediction

Brighton enter the busy Christmas schedule having lost their last three league matches on the trot with losses to Burnley, Chelsea and Bournemouth, although The Seagulls still possess a reasonable home record so far this season.

A home record of 4-2-2 13/10 has helped the south coast club avoid immediate relegation danger and remains their best chance of confirming their top flight status at the end of this season. Their recent defeat to Chelsea ended an impressive run of results which saw Brighton put together a four match sequence without defeat.

This impressive run included wins over West Ham, Wolves and Crystal Palace – the latter being a 3-1 win over The Eagles with just 10 men. An earlier win over Manchester United at the start of the season shows that Brighton are no soft touches on home turf this season.

Leading goalscorer and striker Murray (8 goals) is expected to return to Brighton’s starting line-up on Boxing Day.

Arsenal Prediction

Arsenal are tied with London rivals Chelsea on 37 points apiece as we head into the Christmas period but Arsenal seem to be in slightly better shape than Chelsea as they head into this clash on the back of a convincing 3-1 home win over Burnley on the weekend.

Although Arsenal had lost 3-2 away at Southampton in the match beforehand, the Gunners have lost just once in their last 16 matches in the Premier League, and have captured important recent wins over north London rivals Tottenham, Huddersfield Town and Burnley.

Away from home, Arsenal also possess an away record that’s similar to Brighton’s home record, being 4-2-2 20/15 which includes just one defeat from their last seven matches on their travels, but the visitors have so far failed to keep a single clean sheet on the road to date.

Forwards Aubameyang (12 goals) and Lacazette (6 goals) lead the way for Arsenal but it’s highly unlikely they’ll both start against Brighton.

Betting Tips Verdict

Brighton have produced some solid results at home so far this term while Arsenal remain susceptible at the back. The visitors should win this but expect Brighton to put up stubborn resistance.
