Visitors Burnley continue to flirt with the relegation zone as they sit just one league position and two points above the bottom three and third from bottom club Cardiff City, although Burnley have shown signs of a recovery in recent weeks under manager Sean Dyche.
Burnley have strung together a promising run of six league matches without defeat as The Clarets have shown sparks of their former selves with wins against West Ham, Huddersfield Town and Fulham – two of which have been at Turf Moor though.
Recent matches have seen Burnley stuck in ‘draw mode’ as they’ve drawn their last three matches on the trot with stalemates against Watford 0-0 away, a creditable 2-2 draw at Manchester United and 1-1 with Southampton.
They’re also unbeaten in their last three away matches within an away record of 2-4-7 11/24 which still remains disappointing.
In addition, Burnley have failed to score in 7 of their 13 away matches and this could be a telling factor in the outcome of this tussle.
