Saturday brings us further action from the Premier League and our next preview features a south coast encounter between Brighton and Southampton as the betting tips continue at the AMEX Stadium.
Brighton Prediction – Can Brighton continue impressive start?
With 4 points gained from their first two matches of the new Premier League season, Brighton manager, Graham Potter, will be delighted with how his team have started this new top flight campaign as they look to extend their unbeaten start to three league matches.
Brighton bagged all three points in what seemed an unlikely 3-0 win away at Watford on the opening day of the season, but The Seagulls were value for that win and they followed that up with a good point at the AMEX Stadium with a 1-1 draw at home against West Ham.
Next to visit the AMEX Stadium are south coast rivals, Southampton, who have held the upper hand in previous meetings but they’ve made a poor start to this season, losing back-to-back matches in the early stages of this new term.

Southampton Prediction – Can Southampton take south coast honours?
Back-to-back defeats away at Burnley 3-0 and a 2-1 loss at home to Liverpool wasn’t the start that Southampton manager, Ralph Hasenhuttl had in mind before the season kicked off, and he now takes his Southampton side along the coast to Brighton where the visitors will be looking to avoid a third defeat on the trot.
We can probably say that the honeymoon period is over where Hasenhuttl and Saints are concerned too as the visitors have now gone 7 league matches overall without a win, which includes 4 defeats and 3 draws.
With just 1 away win out of their last 8 away matches, Southampton’s results away from home aren’t much better either, but that one victory was achieved against Saturday’s opponents, Brighton, in a 1-0 win at the AMEX Stadium in the last meeting between these two sides.
The Saints have lost 3 of their last 4 matches on the road though, so even a point against Brighton would be a more favourable outcome than a third defeat on the trot.
