Bristol City have re-found some form in recent times as The Robins have put together a promising looking eight match run without defeat in the Championship which has seen the hosts lift themselves up into a mid-table position in 11th place.
Recent wins over Ipswich Town, Birmingham City (Birmingham’s only defeat at home this season) and back-to-back wins against Rotherham United and Stoke City have seen a rejuvenated Bristol City outfit under manager Lee Johnson, and having gone unbeaten in their last four at home with an overall record of 4-5-4 14/13, the hosts will be confident of taking all three points here.
The hosts have been able to score in the majority of their home matches this season, failing to score in just 3 of their 13 matches at Ashton Gate and with forwards Diedhiou (7 goals), Weimann (5 goals) and Paterson (3 goals), they’ll fancy their chances of grabbing the spoils on Saturday.
Bolton Wanderers Prediction
Bolton Wanderers temporarily lifted the gloom around the Macron Stadium with a resounding 5-2 win over League One outfit Walsall in last week’s 3rd round of the FA Cup, but they return to league action in the Championship with a difficult trip to Bristol this Saturday.
The visitors have managed just one league win from their last 16 matches in the Championship which was a 2-1 home win over fellow strugglers Rotherham United against a worrying backdrop of financial insecurity, and with a fairly ordinary looking away record of 2-4-7 9/22, Bolton look in trouble ahead of this second half of the season.
In addition, Bolton have lost their last four away matches on the trot with defeats at Sheffield Wednesday, Norwich City, Brentford and Hull City – the latter being a 6-0 trashing at the hands of a revived Hull outfit under Nigel Adkins.

Bristol City have rekindled their form and with home advantage here, should account for a poor travelling Bolton side.
