Football – England – Championship Betting Tips

Bristol City take on strugglers, Hull City as the betting tips continue in the Championship on Wednesday night at Ashton Gate.

The hosts ended a miserable run of five league matches without a win in the Championship on the weekend when they secured a somewhat surprising 1-0 win away at Brentford at Griffin Park on Saturday, and they now return to home turf for Wednesday night’s clash with Hull City.

Recent defeats to Wolves, Wigan Athletic and Sheffield Wednesday had pegged back The Robins, but the home side will be keen to improve upon their home record which stands at an indifferent  2-2-2  8/7 here. Forward Weimann (5 goals) leads the goalscoring charts for Bristol City.

It’s worth pointing out that Bristol City have only faced top half opposition at home so far this season, so they’ll be keen to cash in on Wednesday night.

Hull City once again find themselves in a real mess down near the bottom of the Championship as they sit second from bottom level with Ipswich Town with just 9 points to their name so far this season.

It’s now six games without a win for Nigel Adkins’s side who have suffered four recent defeats within these six matches to Wigan Athletic, Reading, Leeds United and Sheffield United and although they drew with Middlesbrough and Preston North End (both at home), this means The Tigers have earned just two points from the last possible 18 on offer.

Their situation doesn’t get any better away from home as Hull have lost their last four matches on their travels on the trot, conceding 8 goals and scoring just 1 in reply as well as failing to score in three of these last four.

Hull’s away record of  1-1-4  5/11 has prompted my betting tips to suggest a home win here for Bristol City.
