Bristol City Prediction

Bristol City recorded a sixth league win on the trot in the Championship on the weekend when they secured all three points with a hard fought 1-0 win away at Blackburn Rovers at Ewood park to hand The Robins another valuable three points in their quest for a place in the play-offs come May.

The Bristol City juggernaut doesn’t look like stopping anytime soon either as The Robins have collected wins over Rotherham United, Stoke City, Bolton Wanderers, Nottingham Forest, Swansea City and Blackburn Rovers.

Indeed, Bristol City are now unbeaten in their last 12 league matches and now sit in 6th place in the Championship with a home record that stands at 6-5-4 18/14, having recently edged out Frank Lampard’s Derby County outfit.

The hosts seem to have rode out a sticky patch during September through to Boxing Day as they managed just one win from their eight home matches, but three wins on the trot since then has been the perfect remedy.

Key-Facts – Bristol City v QPR

  • Bristol City have won their last 6 matches on the trot in the Championship
  • QPR have won just 1 of their last 8 away matches in the second tier
  • QPR have suffered the heaviest defeat in the Championship, 7-1 away at WBA

QPR Prediction

Queens Park Rangers’ slump extended to a fourth straight defeat on the weekend when they suffered a high-scoring 4-3 loss at Loftus Road against visitors Birmingham City, and although Steve McClaren’s side were 4-0 at one stage, they just couldn’t find a way past Blues’ goalkeeper Lee Camp who saved an injury time penalty as well.

Earlier defeats to Sheffield United, Preston North End and Wigan Athletic mean that Queens Park Rangers’ earlier promising run of results were for nothing as they now sit in a disappointing 15th place on the Championship league ladder, and 11 points adrift of the play-off pack.

With an away record that reads a disappointing 4-4-7 15/24 it looks like being another season of mediocrity for the London club who just can’t seem to find the winning formula and the consistency of results to find their way back to the top flight.

Queens Park Rangers have won just once in their last eight matches away from home which was a 1-0 win at the City Ground against Nottingham Forest, but defeats at Blackburn Rovers, Leeds United, Sheffield United and Wigan Athletic in recent times have ensured another disappointing campaign.

In addition, QPR have the dubious honour of suffering the heaviest defeat in the Championship to date this term when they lost 7-1 away at West Brom.

Betting Tips Verdict

Bristol City look unstoppable at the moment and should account for an ordinary looking QPR outfit.
