Bristol City kicked off their Championship season with wins over Coventry City, Stoke City, Sheffield Wednesday and Nottingham Forest in their opening four. However, the Robins then went on a five-game winless run, drawing two and losing three.
Bristol City have been much more like their usual selves in recent weeks, though, winning four of their past six. After a draw with Watford and a loss at Reading, City bounced back with a 2-1 victory over Queens Park Rangers at the Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium in midweek.

Despite guiding the team to a couple of good results here and there, Aitor Karanka has had a tough time at St Andrew’s Trillion Trophy Stadium since arriving in the summer. Birmingham City started their season with an excellent home victory over Brentford, but the Blues have won just two league games since then.
Since back-to-back 2-1 successes over Huddersfield Town and Preston North End in late October, the Blues have drawn three and lost three of their following six. After three successive draws, City were beaten at home by Barnsley on Tuesday night.
