Bristol City Preview – Robins to make it five wins from seven?

Bristol City kicked off their Championship season with wins over Coventry City, Stoke City, Sheffield Wednesday and Nottingham Forest in their opening four. However, the Robins then went on a five-game winless run, drawing two and losing three.

Bristol City have been much more like their usual selves in recent weeks, though, winning four of their past six. After a draw with Watford and a loss at Reading, City bounced back with a 2-1 victory over Queens Park Rangers at the Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium in midweek.

Bristol City are riding high in the Championship table at present, collecting an impressive 27 points from 15 fixtures. With back-to-back home games coming up, City look likely to be in the top six over Christmas. Will their long wait to become a Premier League club end this season?

Birmingham City Preview – Blues’ winless run to extend to seven?

Despite guiding the team to a couple of good results here and there, Aitor Karanka has had a tough time at St Andrew’s Trillion Trophy Stadium since arriving in the summer. Birmingham City started their season with an excellent home victory over Brentford, but the Blues have won just two league games since then.

Since back-to-back 2-1 successes over Huddersfield Town and Preston North End in late October, the Blues have drawn three and lost three of their following six. After three successive draws, City were beaten at home by Barnsley on Tuesday night.

Birmingham find themselves at the wrong end of the Championship table with a third of the season already gone. The Midlands club will be desperate to avoid defeat at Ashton Gate at the weekend.

Bristol City vs Birmingham City Betting Advice

Birmingham picked up an excellent 3-1 win at Ashton Gate when the teams last met back in February. After going a goal down in the first minute, and own goal and efforts from Scott Hogan and Lukas Jutkiewicz turned the game on its head. The reverse fixture at St Andrew’s Trillion Trophy Stadium ended in a 1-1 stalemate.
