Bristol City Preview – Struggling Robins to lose again?

Bristol City were quick out of the blocks this season, but the Robins have struggled for form in recent months. In fact, since going four games unbeaten in November (three wins, one draw), City have lost six of their following nine. With last weekend’s game postponed, this will be their first match of 2021.

In their previous fixture, Bristol City were beaten 2-1 by Luton Town at Kenilworth Road, which was their fourth defeat in five league matches. As a result of their poor form, the Bristol club have slipped down to tenth in the Championship table, four points adrift of the play-off places.

Our betting prediction:
Portsmouth win & both teams to score

Bristol City’s next few games could be vital. After this weekend’s FA Cup match, the Robins travel to Brentford in midweek before hosting Preston North End at the weekend. Can they start with a win in the cup this Sunday?

Portsmouth Preview – Can League One Pompey get past Championship opposition?

Portsmouth have not played since December 18th, but Kenny Jackett’s men are flying high in third place in the League One table at present. They have a game in hand on leaders Lincoln City, who are six points ahead. Pompey have won ten, drawn five and lost four so far.

Before walloping King’s Lynn 6-1 at Fratton Park in the second round, Portsmouth’s FA Cup campaign started with a hard-fought win against fellow League One side Ipswich Town. An extra time Sean Raggett goal gave the Hampshire club a 3-2 win at Portman Road.
