Bristol City made a superb start to their season under new boss Dean Holden, but the Robins have gone off the boil in recent months. After 22 games played, City have won ten, lost nine and drawn three. They are in tenth spot, four points adrift of the play-off places.

Preston North End Preview – Can the Lilywhites avoid a third straight loss?
Preston North End ended 2020 with three Championship wins on the spin. North End beat Bristol City, Derby County and Coventry City without conceding. However, they have started 2021 with back-to-back league and cup defeats.
On January 2nd, Preston were beaten at home by Nottingham Forest in the league. They followed that up with an embarrassing 4-1 FA Cup reverse to Wycombe Wanderers, who are currently bottom of the Championship table.
