Bristol Rovers to see off Shrewsbury at the Memorial Stadium

League One/Two Tips

BRISTOL ROVERS v SHREWSBURY TOWN

Saturday 1st April 2017 – Kickoff: 1500hrs

Football – England – League One Betting Tips

Bristol Rovers will be looking forward to returning to their Memorial Stadium following back-to-back defeats on the road in their last two away matches at Bury and Coventry City respectively, but they can bounce back here today to revive their push for a play-off place.

Rovers will play host to League One strugglers Shrewsbury Town this afternoon as The Pirates look to extend their unbeaten run to 11 matches on home turf, while their overall home record stands at an impressive  11-6-3  36/22 which includes recent back-to-back home wins over Southend United and Chesterfield.

Midfielder Bodin (9 goals) and striker Harrison (7 goals) have assisted in Bristol Rovers’ successful season to date, but manager Dave Clarke will be hoping his side can take all three points here which could move them within striking distance of the play-off pack.

Visitors Shrewsbury Town sit just one league position and one point above the relegation zone in League One ahead of their difficult trip to Bristol this afternoon having now gone four matches without a win in the English third tier.

Draws with lowly Coventry City and Chesterfield were followed by defeats to Port Vale and Bolton Wanderers, and now The Shrews look to have a very nervous last few weeks of the season ahead of them as they try to avoid dropping into the bottom four.

However, an away record of  3-6-11  19/32 certainly hasn’t done them any favours, neither have three defeats from their last four matches on the road with losses incurred at Peterborough United, MK Dons and Port Vale.

I can therefore see only one winner here, and that’s Bristol Rovers.
