Premiership favourites Exeter are back in action on Tuesday night as they look to make it four wins on the spin in the Premiership.

However, they are going to have a mighty battle on their hands at Ashton Gate on Tuesday.

Bristol mean business this season after returning to action in red-hot form and they are looking to complete a rare season-double over the Chiefs.

Bristol Preview – Can the Bears take down Exeter?

This should be a cracker. In round fifteen of the Premiership, Bristol took a superb 33-24 away win at Gloucester.

That was quite a big statement in a tricky match and it followed up a big test of character in a 16-12 win over Saracens on their return from the break.

So that is a five-match winning streak that the Bears have now put together in the Premiership, so it’s impressive stuff.

They have won their last three on the spin at Ashton Gate and to highlight how big of a threat they are, the Bears are 2/9 favourites* (odds taken 19:44 GMT, Monday 24th August).

Bristol collected a 20-17 win at Sandy Park against Exeter when they met for the first time this season in November 2019.

Can they do the double? They haven’t done that since 1999. With new arrival Semi Radradra in superb form against Gloucester, they may have a chance.

Our betting prediction:
Exeter to win
10/3

It is a nine-match unbeaten streak of form that BRistool are currently on in the top flight.

The last time they were beaten was in round eight against Leicester.

Even better than that is the fact that Bristol have suffered just one defeat at home since March and that’s across all competitions.

While they are the favourites for this match, Bristol have poor head to head history going against Exeter.

They have lost their last six home games against them.

Exeter Preview – Can Exeter make it 7 seven in a row at Bristol?

Exeter’s form in Bristol is superb. That’s six straight wins there now, which is some away streak.

They were in action on Friday night picking up a bonus-point win over Sale to keep themselves going strong at the top of the table.

That’s three wins in a row for the Chiefs and each of those were with a bonus point as well.

Exeter are the top-scoring side in the Premiership, having tallied 448 points, averaging almost 30 points per game.

That’s formidable stuff and they have ran in 56 tries, compared to the 38 by the second-placed Bears.

Exeter are no pushovers out on the road either. Since October last year they have lost once on the road in all competitions.

That was in a Premiership fixture at Harlequins back in February.

The Chiefs have won four of the last five matches in the Premiership (home and away) against Bristol, so they have that going for them.

A quote of 10/3 on them to get the win in the match outright, is probably going to attract a lot of support* (odds taken 19:44 GMT, Monday 24th August).

Exeter led the overall head to head 12-6 with half of those victories coming on the road.

Bristol vs Exeter Betting Advice

What a game this top-two clash should be. The big question for Bristol v Exeter rugby betting, is whether or not the visitors are valuable.

They are a superb side and won’t be daunted by taking on the Bears at all in this one.

There is a temptation to side with Exeter, especially with them having won their last six wins at Bristol.

Key Facts – Bristol vs Exeter Betting Tip

  • Bristol are unbeaten in nine league games
  • Bristol and Exeter have both won their two games since the restart
  • Exeter have not lost twice in one season to Bristol since 1999

However, the Bears are in a powerful frame of mind at the moment and looked so good winning at Gloucester in their last match.

They are not an easy side to push over at Ashton Gate and this for us, is going to be too close to call.

This really should be a cracker and close, but we think an Exeter Chiefs +10 for 10/11 odds is worth a look* (odds taken 19:44 GMT, Monday 24th August).
