Bromley will be keen to return to winning ways in the National League on Saturday afternoon when they take on bottom club, Guiseley, at their H2T Group Stadium, and keep their hopes of a play-off place alive.
Following three league matches without a win – draws against Maidstone United and Aldershot Town either side of a 1-0 defeat away from home at Tranmere Rovers, has cost Bromley valuable ground on the play-off pack, and they’re now eight points adrift of seventh placed Wrexham ahead of this weekend’s action in the non-league top flight.
Bromley will be relying on their form on home turf where they’ve lost just once in their last six, which was a 1-0 loss to Fylde, but recent wins over Ebbsfleet united and Halifax Town along with creditable points against sixth placed Dover Athletic and National League leaders, Macclesfield Town, have kept their play-off ambitions alive.
Guiseley on the other hand, look to have their work cut out to simply just survive in the non-league top flight as they find themselves 11 points adrift of safety with just 11 league matches of the season remaining.
Time is therefore starting to run out for the basement dwellers, and even though they registered a vital 1-0 home win over Fylde a couple of weeks ago, their balance sheet has taken a huge dent with losing eight of their last nine matches overall.
The visitors have also lost their last six on the trot away from home amidst a poor record of 2-3-13 15/45, and along with possessing the worst defensive record on the road in the division, Guiseley have also failed to find the back of the net in 8 of their 18 away matches to date.
